It's also useful if you need to build ruby scripts for folks.  You can package the whole kit and kaboodle into a single executable, and give it to folks this way they don't have to officially install ruby. It was a ridiculously long time, but I figured that it was better than smoking. One morning I put on my trusty patch and it made me VERY sick, it felt like nicotine poisoning. Dizzy, pukey, miserable. I took the patch off, felt fine after a few hours, and that was the last one I had. Which is no help at all to you, I'm sorry.
